In the final Sitcom Trials heat, another great selection of scripts battled it out for the last few places in the semi-finals, and what a great battle it was. Graeme and Nicky Knowles' "Bunk" kicked off the night with time travelling PR gurus, dead postmen antics abounded in Allan Payne's "Gate Rotate" (don't ask), Bumboy by Andy Crick poked some satire into the mix, and Futureproof continued the time travel theme (alebit in a more romantic manner), and the night was topped off by the wonderfully over-the-top historical comedy of "Baby, It's Cold Outside"

Heat three saw another very strong line-up of scripts going head-to-head-to-head-to-head-to-head in what turned out to be one of the closest contests yet. The night started strongly with John Seymour's ace "Lovely Rocks!", and ran the gammut of sitcom stylings through "Second Best Job in the World", "The Johns", "End to End" and culminated with Jim Speirs and Si Bristoll's audacious "The Spy Who Wrapped Up Warm"

The Sitcom Trials is the stage and TV show where sitcoms compete head to head and the audience vote for their favourite. Started in London & Bristol in 1999, the Trials has enjoyed three years at the Edinburgh Fringe, toured nationally and internationally including Hollywood, and its first TV series ran for eight weeks on ITV1. The stage show now runs at London's Leicester Square Theatre, with the audience voting alongside a panel of experts from the broadcast and comedy industries.
